Google Ads for Contractors

Corey Koehler Media is based in Winona, Minnesota. I run Google Ads for contractors: remodel, exterior, job-site trades.

You work with me. Not a junior. Not a new account manager every quarter.

If ads are the wrong first spend, I will tell you that too.

Let's talk. Fill out the form and tell me about your business.

Why Contractors Hire Me for Google Ads

I Live Here

Winona / La Crosse area. If something is off, we can sit down in person.

You Talk to Me

Every call, every report, every change. No junior. No handoff.

I Will Tell You if Ads Are the Wrong First Spend

If paying per click is a bad move for your town, I say so.

You Own the Account. Month-to-Month.

Google Ads for the Jobs You Actually Want

Remodeling and Additions

High-ticket jobs. Ads aimed at people ready to hire, not tire-kickers shopping on price.

Roofing, Siding, and Windows

Seasonal, storm, replacement vs repair. Different searchers. Different ads.

Kitchen and Bath Contractors

People searching for a crew, not a showroom. Qualify before they call.

General Contracting and Job-Site Work

GCs and multi-trade crews. Ads for the jobs you actually want to bid.

Who This Is Not For

Restaurants and e-commerce. Different game. I will send you elsewhere.

If ads will waste money in your town, I will say so. I would rather lose the work than burn your budget.

What You Get When I Run Google Ads

Ads Aimed at Your Real Service Area

The towns you actually drive to. Not a 50-mile circle of junk leads.

Calls From People Ready to Hire

Filter tire-kickers and job-seekers. The point is booked work, not clicks.

Tracking on the Actual Calls

So we can see which ads brought work, not just which ads got clicked.

Reports You Can Actually Read

Plain English. What we spent, what came in, what I changed.

How This Works in 3 Steps

  1. 1

    We Talk

Form or calendar. About 30 minutes. I need the trade, the towns, and what a good call looks like for you.

  2. 2

    I Look at Your Market

What you show up for now. What competitors are doing. Whether paid ads are even the first move.

  3. 3

We Run Ads, or I Tell You Not to Yet

If the site will waste clicks, we deal with that first. If your town is cheaper to get found without paying per click, I will say that. That is a conversation, not a package on this page.

What Google Ads Management Costs for a Contractor

Two different numbers: what Google charges for the clicks, and what I charge to run the account.

I will not invent a cost-per-click. It depends on the trade and how many other people are bidding on the same searches.

  • What Actually Drives the Cost
  • How competitive the searches are in your trade
  • How wide the service area is
  • How expensive a job is when you win it
  • Whether the website can turn a click into a call

I've done a lot of jobs off word of mouth over the years, but Corey helped me actually show up on Google — now people find me before I ever hear about them from someone else.

Google Ads for Contractors: Common Questions

How Much Should a Contractor Spend on Google Ads?

It depends on the trade, how competitive the searches are, and how wide you drive. Ad spend and my fee are two different numbers. I will not invent a cost-per-click here. We look at both on the call.

Can You Keep Tire-Kickers From Calling?

Better targeting and ad copy cut a lot of it. Geo too wide and “cheap contractor” clicks are the usual problem. It is not a magic filter. It is the job.

Do I Need a Fancy Website First?

You need a page that can take the call. If yours cannot, we talk about that before we spend. That is not a separate product on this page.
